Last Year's recap... (10/15/16)

The 38th annual Yukon Jack Weekend is in the rear view mirror, and we all have another great set of memories to carry us for the next year.

From stunning middle-of-the-lake sunsets to incredible efforts from Iron Chef Hochmuth, from wonderful conversation over cocktails to the not-so-wonderful golf at Old Greenwood and everything in between, this year's Yuke was another great get together of old friends, oft-told tales, bad beats on three and lazy days on the deck. And the Bears actually beat Washington!

Once again, much gratitude and appreciation to Mike and  the Adams / Cook families for allowing us to once again enjoy the paradise they have on the edge of the lake. We are blessed to be able to continue enjoying such a rare gift.

And congratulations to Gentleman Jim Penny, who picked up his second Yukon Jack trophy, to pair with his 2008 win at the Sierra Nevada Golf Ranch. And while Jim exhibited skills around the links, suffice it to say, that day he was the Valedictorian of Summer School, as the remaining 11 golfers did not put up much of a threat.

It was great to see each of you, and to spend a little time catching up. And many thanks to my Uncle and my Dad for their kind 6oz gift and a reason for us all to pause for a moment and raise our glasses to our good fortune and to our endearing friendships. Like all of you - and the Golden Bears - I'm already looking forward to next year!

Enjoy the web page, and memories we've collected from the past years. If you have any pictures you would like to forward, let me know and I'll get them up. And some of your favorite Yuke tunes are just a click away.

May the rest of the year be a peaceful and prosperous one for you and yours - I hope our paths can cross some time around the holidays.

Until then, 5-buck Buck'em, and flip my last card...
