Quick note to let you know our good friend Ted Gallagher is putting together something pretty cool that is going to go a long way towards helping our deserving servicemen and women.
Ted will be walking the circumference of Lake Tahoe from September 11 through September 17, in order to raise money for the Semper Fi Fund, which provides immediate financial assistance and lifetime support to post 9/11 wounded, critically ill and injured members of all branches of the US Armed Forces.
The event is called "72 for the 22 at 62" - 72 miles around the lake, 22 for the number of veteran suicides and 62 for the 6200 feet of altitude.
Ted and his family are hoping to raise $100,000 in this inaugural event, and are kickstarting the effort with $5,000 in cash and event costs.
Lots of credit to our friend and fellow Yuke gentleman for taking this on, and I wanted to get this to you all, with the hope that we would support Ted in his efforts. You're a good man, Mr. Gallagher - put me down for $100!
