2017 Wrap-Up (10/7/17)

Gentlemen of the Yukon Jack!

Hope you are all safely home after another incredible Yukon Jack weekend!

First off, many of you have sent me notes asking about David Williams, and this weekend's devastating news out of Las Vegas. He is fine, as he stayed in Tahoe through Monday.  So far, all of the people he knew at the festival - musicians, crew, friends - are all safe, despite some being right in the center of the firing. I know you all join me in sending him, and all of the Nashville music community, continued hope and faith as they find their way through this horror...

David also sends thanks for the wonderful evening he enjoyed with us. And again, from the Commish, thank you all for the warm greeting you gave him. I hope you enjoyed his playing, and I've uploaded several of the songs he sang out on the deck, on the Yuke Tunes page of the website. I've also included versions of the songs "I'm Movin' On" by Rascal Flatts and "Anywhere But Here" by Brice Long, as well as "99.9%" from David's old band Sky. Enjoy!

I will also be uploading several pictures over the next week or 10 days, so we can relive some of the wonderful moments of the weekend. Some of the sunset pictures are absolutely stunning and will be available on the Gift Shop page of the website...

Trust that you all had as good a time as I, as we enjoyed the fine cuisine of Chefs Hochmuth, Kane, Roeth and Pehanick, the great wine selection from Ducky, and the wonderful conversation shared by good friends. I echo the sentiment that was shared - that each of these weekends gets better and better. It's a tribute to all of us, that the weekend continues to be a highlight of our year.

And to those of you who were unable to join us, you were certainly missed, and we hope you'll be able to be with us again next year

Congratulations to our first 3-way at the Yuke Championship - no better way to finish or 40th edition! Here's to Al, Jim and Horn as they tamed the rugged Old Greenwood course, each posting a net 75. Would also like to welcome Mike and Mike back to the Yuke field! Great to have you boys out there again, helping us to build the biggest group of Yuke competitors in several years - 16 players total!

OK, I've rambled on enough! Hope this finds you and yours doing well, and looking forward to a wonderful holiday season...and an even better Warriors season. Let's try and rally the troops at the 'fish some time during the holidays!

Until our paths cross again, take care, my friends!
